Jacksonville, FL. — June 20, 2011

Rick Catlett, President of the Gator Bowl Association, presented a check today in the amount of $12,938.41 to Wolfson Children’s Hospital. This donation represents the proceeds of the Annual Gator Bowl Vystar 5K Run held on New Year’s Eve and will be utilized for the Building Expansion project at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. This year over 1,200 runners participated in the Gator Bowl VyStar 5K Run with 141 of them purchasing wristbands in support of children who were receiving treatment at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. In addition to Wolfson Children’s Hospital, other Gator Bowl Charitable Recipients Include: Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Boselli “Celebrate Youth” Scholarship, Boy Scouts of America, Boys and Girls Club, The Bridge, Community Connections, Communities in Schools, Dreams Come True, Epic Community Services, Fellowship of Christian Athletes,First Coast Pop Warner, Greater Jacksonville Pop Warner, Hastings Youth Academy, LeRoy Butler Foundation, MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation, The Sulzbacher Center, Take Stock in Children, YMCA of Florida’s First Coast. and Youth Automotive Training Center.
