The Konica Minolta Gator Bowl credential policy is designed to best allocate credentials in order to maximize coverage in a safe, professional working environment. Unfortunately, it is not possible to accommodate all requests.

The media hospitality suite will be open at 10:00 a.m. for your convenience. Game Week access pins and all media information will be available in the hospitality suite upon arrival. Game Day credentials may be picked up on Sunday, December 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Monday, December 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Game Day, January 1 at Media Will Call, Gate 1 at the Stadium beginning at 9:00 a.m.

MEDIA INFORMATION

CREDENTIAL POLICY:

Media credentials for the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl are issued for working media only. Media agencies credentialed throughout the year at both universities receive priority status. Subject to limitations, the remainder of the requests will be honored in priority order from sports editors of DAILY newspapers and television sports directors in the local/national media followed by weekly publications and radio stations attending the game in a working capacity.

CREDENTIAL REQUEST

Requesting media credentials will be done online using the Sports Systems Online Credentialing website beginning in November. A link to the site will be set up on this Media page when credential requests will be accepted.

Please do not apply for credentials unless you are certain you will be covering the event. Space is limited and credentials will be granted on the priority basis as listed above.

PRESS BOX CREDENTIALS

Press Box passes are good only for a reserved seat in the Press Box. It will not permit you access to any other part of the stadium, except at the end of the game when you will be allowed on field access for the awards presentation and the interview room adjacent to the team locker room.

PHOTO/FIELD CREDENTIALS

Sideline access is limited to media personnel who are photographers and videographers with camera equipment on assignment for a recognized news organization or sports publication. All field photographers must remain outside the bench areas and outside the yellow border surrounding the playing field.

JACKSONVILLE MUNICIPAL STADIUM DOES NOT HAVE A PHOTO DECK

INTERNET

No online service will be allowed ?real time" transmission of the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl Game. Only contractual rights-fee paying media will be allowed ?real time" transmission during the event. ?Real Time" is defined as any online media providing live continual play-by-play coverage of an event. Other than the official website of CBS Sports, the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl and each participating institution, representatives staffing web sites shall be accredited for credentials to the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl on the following guidelines:

One credential may be assigned to a website that is affiliated with a national media of another form (i.e., network, newspaper, etc.).

GAME WEEK ACCESS PINS

Game Week Access Pins are available beginning December 26 in the Media Hospitality Room at the Official Media Headquarters, Hyatt Regency Hotel, 225 Coastline Dr., Jacksonville, FL

GAME DAY CREDENTIALS

Game day credentials can be picked up in the Media Hospitality Room on December

30 & 31 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and January 1 at Media Will Call, Jacksonville Stadium, Gate 1 beginning at 9:00 a.m.

MEDIA WILL CALL

Game day credentials not picked up at the Media Hospitality Suite can be obtained at Media Will Call, Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, Gate 1 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on game day. Media will be subject to bag checks prior to entry to the stadium.

GAME DAY CREDENTIALS WILL NOT BE MAILED OUT

GAME DAY PARKING

Members of the media should request parking passes at the time of their media credential request.

Game day parking passes will be mailed upon request through December 15. Otherwise they can be picked up with game day credentials at the Media Hospitality Room December 30 & 31. To receive via Federal Express, a billing number must be provided at the time credential request is made.

MEDIA HEADQUARTERS

OFFICIAL MEDIA HEADQUARTERS HOTEL

The Hyatt Regency Hotel has been designated the Official Media Hotel for the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl. A limited number of rooms have been reserved for the media ? rate: $112/night plus applicable taxes. All media room requests must be made online through the Gator Bowl website via the Media Credential Request Form. All reservations must be secured with a credit card. The credit card does not guarantee a hotel room until your request of credentials is approved and a hotel confirmation number has been assigned. Credential approval and hotel confirmation numbers will be sent via email by the December 17 cut-off date.

AT THE HYATT REGENCY HOTEL)

MEDIA HOSPITALITY CHECK-IN – Hyatt Regency Hotel

SPOUSE/GUEST TICKET

A limited number of game tickets are held for the media until Thursday, December 12. After this date, tickets are available on an "as available" basis. The cost is $50 per ticket. Those interested should contact Lance Grantham at 904-798-1700 or lance@gatorbowl.com.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

The daily practice schedules and interview policies will be provided by the Sports Information Directors of both universities. All interviews with coaches and/or players must be cleared through each SID.

PRESS BOX

To ensure a professional working environment, no children, spouses or other non-working personnel will be permitted in the press box or on the field.

Seats will be assigned…check the press seating chart upon arrival in the press box.

PRESS BOX PHONE LINES

There are no permanent phone lines in the Press Box. To order a phone line you must call Jason Morrill, Telecommunications Adm. at 904-633-6125.

There are 5 pool phones available at various seat locations in the press box for general media use at no charge.

WIRELESS ACCESS

Wireless is available in the Press Box and in the Photo/editing areas

FAX SERVICE

There will be a fax machine in the Press Box. A telephone credit card will be required for use of the fax machine.

GAME SERVICES

Members of the media will receive a Konica Minolta Gator Bowl Official Game Program, Media Guide and flip-chart. The two universities will also provide a Bowl media guide from their respective schools.

A play-by-play information sheet will be distributed after each quarter. At halftime, game statistics will be available. Following the game, complete statistics, team, individual and scoring summary along with postgame coaches and players quotes will be available in the press box.

POSTGAME INTERVIEWS

Media credentialed for the Press Box will be permitted to go to field level with approximately 5 minutes left in the game. Each university will set its own policies regarding postgame, locker room interviews. Contact both Sports Information Directors to determine their respective policies.

The postgame press conference area is located in the Theatre Room south of the Home Team field tunnel. The losing coach will be invited to go first.

TELEVISION

All field stand-ups must be completed from the South end zone prior to 11:45 a.m. game day. All special requests for in-stadium filming must be directed to Cheri O'Neill, Gator Bowl Association Vice President/Media Relations at 904-798-5982.

SATELITE TRUCKS

USE OF SATELLITE TRUCKS MUST BE CLEARED THROUGH THE GATOR BOWL ASSN. AND INDICATED ON CREDENTIAL REQUEST FORM TO INSURE ADEQUATE PARKING. SATELLITE TRUCKS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO PARKING LOT J AND WILL NOT NEED A PARKING PASS.
