JACKSONVILLE, FL Yesterday, the Chairman of the Gator Bowl's VyStar Financial Group 5K Run, Chris Bracken, Director of Sales & Marketing for the Sawgrass Marriott Resort & Spa, presented a check to Wolfson Children's Hospital in the amount of $39,719.00.   Accepting the check for the hospital was Administrator, Larry Freeman.  The donation was comprised of the proceeds from the 2005 VyStar Financial Group 5K Run, the Run for a Child wristband campaign and the Second Annual Gator Bowl Little Red Wagon Pull.

Cheered by the Gator Bowl 5K Run and Parade crowds, the Gator Bowl's Second Annual Little Red Wagon Pull rolled down the parade route on New Year's Eve with 35 creatively decorated red wagons sponsored by various companies, organizations and families.  Immediately following was the VyStar Financial Group Gator Bowl 5K Run, the annual Gator Bowl tradition.  Many 5K runners, in addition to their Run entry fee, donated an additional contribution to participate in the Run for a Child campaign in which they wore patient armbands with the name of one of Wolfsons young patients as they raced to the finish line.
