BOB TEBOW TO BE KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT THE ATLANTIC COAST BANK GATOR BOWL FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST

JACKSONVILLE, FL Robert R. Tebow (Bob) will be the Keynote Speaker at the 2007 Atlantic Coast Bank Gator Bowl Fellowship Breakfast on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at 9:00 a.m.  The Gator Bowl Fellowship Breakfast, presented by J.B. Coxwell and W.W. Gay Mechanical, is held annually during Konica Minolta Gator Bowl week.  Players & coaches from Texas Tech and Virginia, along with over 600 area youth, will be in attendance.

 Bob Tebow, father of this year’s Heisman Trophy winner, Tim Tebow, has a lifetime commitment to the ministry.  He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Human Performance from the University of Florida and holds a Masters Degree in Divinity and a Masters Degree in Theology from Western Seminary, Portland, Oregon.  He helped start Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of Florida in 1966, was the area representative for Fellowship of Christian Athletes from 1976-1979, served as Associate Pastor of Southside Baptist Church from 1979 – 1982, and was pastor of Cornerstone Community Church from 1982 – 1985.  Bob Tebow is currently involved as missionary-evangelist, Philippines through the Bob Tebow Evangelistic Association.  He has been married to his wife, Pam, for 36 years and they have 5 children:  Christy who is married to Joe Allen with one daughter Claire; Katie who is married to Gannon Shepherd with one daughter Abigail; and sons Robby, Peter and Tim.

 The Tony Boselli Award of Excellence Scholarship, under the auspices of the Gator Bowl Association, will also be presented at the Atlantic Coast Bank Gator Bowl Fellowship Breakfast to two area youth.  This is a college scholarship program targeting student leaders who are achieving academic excellence while also striving to reach their full athletic potential.  Scholarships are awarded to one male and one female qualifying senior to assist in furthering their educational goals.
